The Department of Computer Science & Engineering established in the year 1984 was the first CSE department introduced in Kerala. For the last three decades, the department has been imparting a state-of the-art education, training and research in the field of computer science and allied areas and regularly producing efficient and outstanding professionals. The department offers B.Tech and M.Tech programme with excellent infrastructure and well qualified and experienced faculty.

The faculty members of the department have been guiding research works and are representing different academic bodies like Board of Studies (Engineering UG & PG), Academic Council, Faculty of Engineering etc. of Kerala University. The department has been taking initiative for the preparation and revision of scheme and syllabus for the B.Tech. and M.Tech degree courses in Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology of Kerala University. During the past years the department has bagged top ranks in Kerala University very often.  Most of the students are getting placements and internship opportunities in reputed companies. Many of our alumni have reached positions of eminence in academic and research institutions, industries, business and also as entrepreneurs.

We are working with an objective to contribute our part to develop India as a Super Power in the area of Computer Science and Information Technology by imparting knowledge of an international standard to young Engineers and Computer Scientists.
